Gelbe Karte für Erdoğan

Standard & Poor’s (S&P) hat der Türkei mit einer Herabstufung der Kreditwürdigkeit gedroht. Die aktuelle Bonitätsnote bleibe aber zunächst bei „BB+“, teilte S&P am Freitag in London mit. Dies ist die beste Bewertung im sogenannten Ramschbereich. Der Ausblick für die Note werde jedoch von „stabil“ auf „negativ“ gesenkt. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Herabstufung in den nächsten zwölf Monaten liege bei eins zu drei.

S&P begründete die Entscheidung mit dem wachsenden Risiko einer „harten Landung“ der türkischen Wirtschaft. Ursache dafür sei die Geld- und Fiskalpolitik des Landes sowie die Verschlechterung des wirtschaftlichen Umfelds. Zuletzt war die türkische Lira an den Finanzmärkten stark unter Druck geraten. Die türkische Notenbank hatte zur Stützung der Währung den Leitzins drastisch angehoben. Dies dürfte aber die Konjunktur belasten. Die Ratingagentur senkte ihre Wachstumsprognose für die Türkei für die Jahre 2014 und 2015 daher von bisher 3,4 Prozent auf 2,2 Prozent.
