So eloquent, wie wir ihn aus ungezählten Reden vor dem EU-Parlament kennen, so eindringlich und mitreissend präsentierte Nigel Farage seine Rede vor rund 15,000 Unterstützern und Wahlhelfern von Donald Trump.

Farage kritisierte u.a. Barack Obamas versuchte Einflussnahme vor dem Brexit-Referendum und warf ihm vor, er habe wohl auf Wunsch von David Cameron, die britische Bevölkerung und ihr Land so behandelt, als seien sie -die wohl älteste Demokratie der Welt- ein Niemand!.

Er betonte, dass es zwischen Britannien und USA gemeinsame Denk- und Handlungsansätze gebe, die Parallelen zum Engagement der Brexiters und Trumps Kampagne aufweise.

Sinngemäß rief er der Menge zu, dass die Wählerinnen und Wähler die so genannten Meinungsforscher und Kommentatoren eines Besseren belehren und Washington besiegen können.

.

Er unterstrich, dass es Millionen gewöhnlicher Amerikaner, die im Stich gelassen wurden, die eine schlechte Zeit hatten und die sich von der politischen Kaste in Washington alleine gelassen fühlen, in der Hand haben, den politisch korrekten Mitgliedern der liberalen Machtelite verdientermaßen eine harsche Niederlage zu verpassen.

Statt eine Wahlempfehlung auszusprechen, ließ Farage ein Stück weit schlitzohrig wissen, sei er US-Bürger, würde er nicht für Hillary Clinton stimmen, selbst wenn sie ihn persönlich dafür bezahlen würde.

They told us, our economy would fall of a cliff, they told us, that be mass unemployment, they told us, investment would leave our country and David Cameron -then our Prime Minister, but no longer- told us, we might even get world war three, and we saw the commentary at and we saw the polling industry doing everything they could, to demoralise our campaign of the day of the vote itself, that morning they put us 10 points behind and actually they were all wrong.“

„They were wrong, because what the Brexit-Campaign did is, we reached those people, who*ve been let down by modern global corporatism, we reached those people.
We reached those people, who have never voted in their lives, but believed by going out and voting for Brexit, they could take back control of their country, take back control of their borders and bet back their pride and self-respect.“

„Now, the big card, the Prime Minister decided to play in the referendum, he’s got a foreign visitor to come to London, talking to us. Yes we were visited by one Barack Obama and he talked down to us, he treated us, as if we were nothing, one of the oldest functioning democraties in the word, and here is he was telling us to vote remain. So I have criticized and condemned his behavior !“

„I could not possibly tell you, how you should vote in this election, but I will say this:
If I was an American citizen, I wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton, if you pay me. In fact, I wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton, even if she paid me !“

„Folks, the message is clear, the parallels of their, there are millions of ordinary Americans, who*ve been let down, who had a bad time, who feel the political class in Washington are detached from them, who feel, so many of their representatives are politically correct parts of that liberal media elite, they feel, people aren’t standing up for them and they’re actually in many cases giving up on the whole electoral process.
I think, that you have a fantastic opportunity here with this campaign, you can go out, you can beat the pollsters, you can beat the commentators, you can beat Washington.“

we had our own peoples army of ordinary citizens, who wins out and delivered leaflets, who went to meet people where they worked an where thay socialized, who convinced and inspired people, to go out, if this was the one and only time in their life and to vote for change !“
