Professor Rania Antonopoulos who – to the surprise of many – not only appeared out of nowhere on the second spot of SYRIZA’s ballot paper, but also took over the role of Deputy Minister of Labour. Hailing from Patras and Asia Minor, then student P. Andonopoulou played a leading role in the violent events of the regime change (1974) as a member of the revolutionary organization „Rigas Fereos“.
